We have a full out stone porch bout 20-foot by 15-foot. Heh, bigger than my bedroom :s The porch has four stone slab steps, which are bout a foot in depth and 5-foot wide each - Otherwise you’re looking at a 4-foot drop. We do have wood rails down the sides ^_^ They came after the roof was pulled off due to a termite infestation in our neighborhood years ago. Anyhow, after the steps, you have another stone slab, the base is bout 5-foot by 6-foot. Then we have our driveway - Standard single car drive thru; it’s a corner house, bite me.

Now, you’d think there were raildings, but this is our redneck house. We’re sorry, but we aint gunna go buy no rails that come pre dinged up. Now, G, who pretty much crawls up these steps due to her age, is bout 5-foot tall - I know this cause I’m a short lil shit and damn proud too!

So, with that all said. G was bout one step from the top, before she lost her balance, and fell backwards. She cleared the steps, hit the base along with her head, and slid to the drive. My SO observing mother never heard her cries for help. Luckily, the women in my family are strong, and after so long we force our bodies to do what we want; no matter what. She made it back up and in to the couch. Then refused medical attention…My mother, obliged and got her tea, while G LAID DOWN to rest! Then I came in to check on her, just as she threw up…Ok, I know their not bright, but when will they start to listen to me and see my logic?

After yelling at them, they finally went to the walk-in ER. I stayed home an watched the kids, and answered all the family-friend concern calls. Which is a bitch when you don’t know what’s going on. Thankfully, as me and pap said, it was just a concussion. Few pills for the pain - Cloud 9 type - Then something for the nausea and she was good to go.

Sis was very well behaved, for the few days it took G to get back to normal. Shocking really. Haven’t seen her that good since Santa busted her teasing me ^_^ Anyhow, G is better now – Little weary of the step, but that’s expected.
