Hospital Bill?
January 12, 2007
Last time, when I went in. Told them, "I have strep. I don't have insurance." They still insisted on shoving a swab down my throught.
Bill sent - $1,000.00 They offered charity care.

This time, I went in. Told them, "I have pink eye. Last time, I wasn't working; so it wasn't a big deal, didn't bother comming in. And no, I still don't have any insurance."
Bill sent - $137.19 Uh? Hold up...If your not working, the bill is larger?

It's so they can get more money out of charity care, I would have to assume. Most people (I know) who are unemployed, never pay their bill, and/or sue the hospital afterwards. If they aren't working there is no money to give and half can't even get charity care.
