Yerp, just started to devote time into learning. Only issue is the keyboard. I want to learn to write it as well as speak and read. Figured how to set up the characters and all, course can't even recall where the English keys are on the board; how am I to know where the Russian ones are?
Was surprised at how many words I already knew. No, I'm not talking about the ones that sound like English words. Just a bunch of random ones I picked off TV.
I'm on the Russian Alphabet (Русский Алфавит) right now. Slowly getting better.
D (Дима) is getting a laugh here and there. some words trigger different words in my head in different languages. To which he goes, "Huh? OMG you messed that up sooo bad!" Well he thinks it; How do i know? He told me so. Course he wouldn't say for fear of discouragement.
He started to teach me but with our schedules there isn't much time for him to give me any input. We either spend time talking about our days and relaxing together for a couple hours or teach me Russian...The winner is obvious. When we get time I only throw in some new words ^_^ then cringe to find out how bad I butchered it.
