So, I guess I’m caught up till last night…We were having our usual weekend party. This time mom joined in on the drinking. Normal bit is mom and pap start fighting; they go to sleep no problems. Unfortunately, it so happens that last night was our neighbors’ Sweet 16. Pap sent over 30$, so she could get her CD.
Mom’s mind raced back to my Sweet 16. Apparently, pap showed up empty handed, due to the fact that he had given all his money to a friend. This friend needed it for rent, or she would have been evicted. Although, that didn’t matter much because mom was (and it’s still blatantly shows) convinced they were fucking. Mom said that her and the other woman had talked and settled things out, however, that may not be the case.
At the end of their fight mom refilled her glass and walked out the door. She was upset and loaded, course if it wasn’t for the fact that Sis said she had been talking to Pat; we would have flipped when she disappeared. As pap put it, “She thinks she getting even with me, but all she’s doing is hurting yous.” Sissy was the one at the door every 5 seconds looking for her. Even looked all over the yard for mom, trying to convince Sis she should just go to bed. I got used to it over the years, except now I have a 10 year old followin me and going, “They’re going to get a divorce.”
She showed up today, looking distraught. Last time this happened, she kicked him out. She hasn’t and likely won’t. For the time being, she’s sleeping on the couch…
I really wish they would just finish the argument and get it over with. If they are happy together cool, if not cool. Divorce? Then by all means – shoot for the paperwork. Not like a divorce is anything new here…
