PoS Car: Day 1

DH killed his trash-can...erm car. Wait let me explain. His pride and joy, is a '04 Chevy Aveo, that he washes more then his own ass. Due to the shiny-ness of his mobile it will blind you however because it is the same color as our recyclable can - Bright Yellow....Hence it was nicknamed the trash-can/beer-can...UB has chucked countless beer cans into at this poor little car. Alas, she only excepts WAWA coffee cups XD Course it is DH's fault for parking it next to the recyc can, knowing damn well two drunk men are wandering about.

Second bit is my husband has a slight heavy accent. He's Russian; what else ya expect? I'm trying to breed it out of him. I think it's cute and only correct small errors...However, in todays world people will shit all over you for it. So, needless to say, his All American loud mouth wife has to step up sometimes...

His car breaks down, he takes it to his mechanic. The mech tells him he needs a new timing belt. Sounds normal... Then my DH looks up known issues and finds one with the engine - which he offers up to his mech; knowing the timing belt causes this issue. His mech estimates 3k, which will not include any other unseen damage...

Er, hold up a second! 3k for what? A possible error that may-not exist? At this point I practically yelled, "Don't let him touch it!" Once I convinced him, he pulled his car out - after $200 for a timing belt...and an engine with no compression.

We took my '97 Ford Escort for a little peek and see. Did you know BMW has security roaming the grounds at 3am? Neither did we XD So, I didn't get to see the prices for my model. They lost a sale :P We went to Toyota. The garage is open but no security :D Saw three good ones, but not much else. Hit another one and found two very promising ones. In the lot as we were driving, however, my car was making funny new noises (Note - check engine - has been on for over a year) I already put enough money into it and was looking for a new car myself. No worries. Long as it lasted till we find a new one :)
