D, new guy at work round Dec, for third shift, was a regular before he started. He's a night-owl, so he popped in after work to take notes and get a better feel for the job. Little extra training.
He was sooo sweet (OMG is he sweet) the whole time and I enjoyed the conversations we had (He's into the same shit I am). Didn't have the heart to kick him out, but also didn't want him to be working at the same time. Except when he got sick. Faz told him he should go home and get some rest. Didn't listen, so Faz told me. After I convinced him he should go (small intellectual battle), he agreed and left.
Then one night, Faz told him I wasn't feeling well - got me a nasty ass cold - so he bumped me over and started to help O_o Didn't want me in the freezer by myself, so he came along to make the job quicker (I refused to have him do it for me, even if I might get sicker).
Then I noticed his eyes...There was a glaze about them...Only seen it once before - on me...a long time ago...Bah, couldn't be...So, I ignored it; thinking he was tired. Saw the glaze again and told him he should get some sleep. Said he wasn't tired...Then when Faz went on break...He came back and asked me out. After an awkward giggle, he left and came back with a rose...
